Tablets for pictures at events.

So I'm at an event for my daughter and I've lost count of how many people are using 8"+ tablets to take pictures and video. Now, if you don't own a smartphone I can see maybe using a tablet. But they are using iPads and galaxy tabs they probably got free with their last contract then pulling out their iPhone 5-6 or or galaxy S6 or note 4-5 to send a text. Apparently the general population thinks tablets have better cameras than phones because they are bigger? The lady in front of me put her iPhone away to stand up with her iPad to take video. And made it so I couldn't see. Thanks lady.
