It's one of the reasons why I love/prefer android. Not that I don't like iOS after all I'm a Mac user.

Is it just a simple as changing the Launcher's or to the point of Rooting?

I picked up the S7 a week or two ago and tonight I was still making changes, this was the 3-4 modification I did to the App Drawer alone but I think I'm good with this set up.

I'm running Nova Prime with various Icon packs, most are from Nox (kovdev), Urmun (Vertumus). I bought about 4-5 packs from each developer and even choosing the right icon took awhile.

I like doing some customizing but I don't root or get really into it. I love that Samsung has themes. I prefer someone who is artistic design the theme, do the work and I can have new look in a couple of clicks. This is my current theme.

I don't root, but do enjoy customizing my Android. I use several GO apps like their launcher and multi wall paper, and dyi sms theme, leather theme for go contacts and another leather icon pack. I like the individuality that Android offers.

My LGV10 UI is very plain-jane. I just use the OEM app drawer and home screen setup. But behind the stock appearance I meticulously have app permissions, background processes and background wifi/cellular data usage dialed in to where I like it. Of course that includes deactivating and uninstalling as much carrier bloat as possible.

Been running this homescreen since my last phone but thinking of a change up.

But I customise a bit (Holo launcher and zooper widget) plus root, rom, new kernel and tweaked governor. I did buy a Nexus after all so be rude not too

I've customized my N6 quite a bit. Currently running Pure Nexus layers with ElementalX kernel (interactive Gov, CPU boost, undervolt, increase GPU min freq.), Xposed, Nova Prime and Viper4Android. I also like to hide the status and Nav bar, tweak screen color calibration, enable double tap to wake, change DPI to 500 and mix dark and black layers themes.

I use to customize heavily but just simply lose interest after several years. Now I'm just content with a beautiful wallpaper I can stare into.

Same I previously rooted my smartphone but now I get bored out of it. I simply use the given theme and wallpaper that was there previously. I am satisfy with it.

I'm new to Android. Coming from IOS I was fascinated with all the ways I could customize my phone, especially with the Samsung theme market. This is my setup for now. Using Nova Launcher, a black and white theme from the Samsung theme market, and the MIN icon pack.

If you want to get crazy deep into the power of Android, try Tasker. It's pretty hard to learn but it basically let's you program your phone to do anything from opening your garage door when your phone is detected near the driveway to auto switching data off when on home wifi. All this stuff is unique to Android. It's the ultimate tinkerer's dream.

I'm actually working on a Lock Screen app that will auto-create shortcuts for you based on your behavior. It uses a lot of the same methods as Tasker but doesn't require setup. It's called Sesame Lock Screen and is free in the play store.

By the way what's the point of using a clock widget?

I see the purpose of news/weather/music/twitter/calendar widgets

I love Zooper widget but the time is already in the status bar.

I've long been a fan of Apples simple platform, and androids customization. So I use iLauncher on my Samsung Galaxy S6. Gives me the best of both worlds.

Some of us hide the status bar or just want bigger clock on home screen that looks good with the wallpaper.

I usually keep things "normal" for a few months; and then get into themes. I liked using launchers on my Nexus 5; but for my LG G3, I'm starting with themes (LG SmartWorld has a bunch of really cool ones), and have used a couple already. Will probably get into launchers again eventually - I usually change things up every couple of weeks/months.

Customizability is one of the many things I love about Android.

I am a big fan of the Go apps : Go launcher z with multiple wallpapers, go sms did and made my own personal sms backgrounds and fonts, go dialer, I use an icon app "Leather" which offers a phenomenal amount of detailed classy icons, I use swift key for swiping, Firefox for browser, I use hardly any of the default phone apps and hide as many as I can.

Such is the beauty of Android on my Galaxy Note3!

I used to do a ton of customizations to my old phones generations ago (like HTC EVO, Galaxy Nexus, etc) including custom ROMs, launchers, Tasker, But recent phones have gotten so good that I don't even bother anymore. Almost every feature that I used to root to get has been incorporated into stock.I remember when we got to Jelly Bean and CyanogenMod 10, I really wasn't finding many differences between CM and stock. (Don't know if that's still the case.)

All I do now is change my wallpaper, setup my home screen appstore and widgets, and change my keyboard.

Well, I like customizing. It's for me the most interesting part when I get a new phone. And yes, I rooted my phone recently, but I still haven't had a chance to explore new options.
