Hey guys so im really looking to get a tablet really soon since I consume major amounts of media ..Games, videos, movies etc ..My only question is which one is the best without spending unecesssry money. Is the Nexus 9 reliable and stable at this point with the number of updates it has had by now ? Or would a new tab s2 be the better option . Nexus 9 would be cheaper and im just looking for something that will run games and movies streaming smoothly. Thanks !

Neither. I'd go with a more recent device. The Nexus 9 won't see any more updates at this point. I imagine the Tab S2 is close to seeing its last update.

Why not rather just get a Phablet like a Huawei Mate 9?

If that is not to your taste then I'd say get the Tab S2, it won't get many updates but with 3GB RAM, 32GB internal memory plus MicroSD support, it should do what you want very well, better than the Nexus 9. Tab S2 also has a high PPI SuperAMOLED Display so it should be fantastic for all that media consumption.

I would avoid the Nexus 9 at this point unless you have a high data plan and don't mind storing a lot of things in the cloud.
