    Agreed.

The only time I used three fingers iirc was in a Samsung Gallery app to switch from two tiles across.

Why is there the option of up to ten fingers, and does varying pressure on each finger have significance, or just part of the screen test.

    Any other uses?

I guess there should be some apps that make use of this multi touch feature, specially games, but I've never used them.

That's a Moto device, right? Recent leaks showed that the next Moto phones will include some 3D Touch features.

Yeh that will be good. Not sure if that's similar to Apple's touch system or something new.

Multitouch is for some games then I guess.
I wondered whether there was some skill or shortcut using loadsa fingers I wasn't aware of. (I'm aware of all my fingers).

(I picked up a new Moto G4 this week, and am happier with it than a UK Moto G5.)

Há! You made me test that multi touch on my X Play, couldn't resist

Yeah, I imagine it will be something similar to IPhone's feature, will see soon.

Now, your turn. Try to get a screenshot! With five fingers! Good luck mate

Lol. 6, sucka, but only because I'm on a park bench.

Putting two thumbs on the buttons while the other side is flat against a wall should allow more.

And back to the topic. I guess some music apps could use this feature. Thinking of a piano simulator and such.

I have been playing Office Space a lot lately, and there is a section of the game where you tap to get more pennies. The multi touch helps a lot there.

Edit: that can take 10 touches I think, but the touch area is rather compact, so it is rather difficult.

No, we are playing with the Moto Help app. Very interesting tests in there.

I remember back with my Evo 4G, they advertised multitouch capabilities. By multitouch, they meant two fingers. And no more. Lol. Tested phone with app similar to one above. It would not register more than 2 simultaneous touches. Now phones supported what? Ten? How could you possibly use that many? Lol

I think that was in the back of my mind (nothing up front anyhow). If I check out the specs of a device, either on GSMArena, the website, a review often, and elsewhere - I get "10 - Point Multitouch" prominent; as if that's a big thing.

Perhaps supporting that many fingers allows the phone to know when you're doing a palm swipe gesture. Or helps with palm detection on edge display. I know my older devices like the Evo 4g would most likely not have been capable of supporting that stuff

Almost all the smartphones these days come with multi-touch touch screen. A multi-touch touch screen can register more than one points simultaneously when you touch it with your fingers .
For example, when you pinch to zoom a picture on your smartphone, you are using two touch points. Without multi-touch capability, the pinch to zoom feature won’t work. Many other apps require the use of even more touch points at the same time.
