Well, I think 2017 might be the year where the nostalgia brands strike back in order to maintain their relevance.

Fisher, what do you think? I really like the KEYone and I played around with the new Nokias and I think they uphold their legacy mostly well. But I'd like to hear from you.

1) Neither has had one yet.
2) Both of the legacy companies are completely dead
3) We've never seen a good phone come out of TCL or HMD
4) Whole lot of question marks
5) I'm excited to see what they can do, but very disappointed in every bit of news we've seen so far.

Also curious what Mr. Mobile thinks a little

I actually did like the N6 and KEYone.

Neither are flawless, being TCL's first time doing a BB-designed device and HMD's first line of smartphones (interestingly made up almost entirely of ex-Nokia people), but their strengths have made me optimistic on how their future is like.

I'm buying the Nokia 6 for review and to replace an LG G3 with a dead digitizer.
