Own a Sony wireless headset made in the past couple of months or so? Well, I have good news (or some news if you think differently of AI assistants).
At CES 2018, aside from announcing the WF-SP700N and WI-SP600N alongside the WI-SP500, Sony announced that the following would natively get Google Assistant support (currently, tapping and holding the touchpad would bring up the assistant but is unable to read back notifications for instance).
No exact word on when the update will be released but when paired, the Headphones Connect app should notify you when new firmware is released.

- All models in the 1000X series announced at IFA 2017 (WH-1000XM2, WF-1000X and WI-1000X. The original MDR-1000X is sadly not part of the list)
- The h.ear on 2 NC (also known as the WH-H900N)
- The soon-to-be-released WH-CH700N
- The WF-SP700N and WI-SP600N
