What's your home screen look like?

I realize that many of the individual phone sections have sticky threads for this, but some don't and some older devices no longer have it on their page, so I thought I'd make one here.

On my Droid turbo 2 I have Nova Launcher with Voxel Icon pack and Zooper widget, and orange bubbles wallpaper from Zedge. I have everything on the notification bar turned to dark for a streamlined and clean look. Icons are arranged in a manner that naturally aligns with my right hand.

My LG G4. Pic taken with Droid turbo 2. Only knock I have on this phone, camera is a bit weak.

I just use the default launcher.

And the wallpaper is from ICS/Jelly Bean.

But sometimes I switch to stock launcher because with it my phone is faster.

One of the reasons why I use launchers. I switched after 4 days with Evie, figured try something new than Nova Prime.

I'll be getting an S10 Friday. I've had the S8 for almost 2 years and this is the the first time I've spent more than fifteen minutes with the stock launcher. I actually kinda like it.

Just changed the wallpaper on my Pixel to a custom one I made.

I just updated my home screen. This is my current set up. I keep my front screen as clean as possible with the exception of the dock. Most of what I use a lot I've moved and arranged on the 2nd page. I like to see my wallpapers.

CyanogenMod 10 nostalgia with a touch of neon glowing icons!

Black hole themed homescreen! The wallpaper is of course the black hole picture that the genius Katie Bouman and her team created using 5 petabytes of radio telescope data.

Got a used Galaxy A6+ for €140 because because the display died on my 1.5 year old $650 rugged phone (my mom will get the replacement one because CAT warranty service is notoriously known for slowness and I'm leaving for college on August 9th).

Decided to customize the living daylights out of my "new" phone.

Awesome setup! And I love the Essential Phone! I wanted to get one but it wouldn't have worked with my carrier.

Same setup as before but with https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...electricmatrix as the wallpaper. Also I previously forgot to mention that I use "Navbar Apps" ( a rootless Navbar customizer) to make my Navbar into a battery meter.

Thanks, it's one of my favorite so far. There are 5 separate modules that are interchangeable to any placement and visually connect.
I am absolutely in love with my Essential Phone! I was only disappointed for a few days after ordering it, I read a lot of negative reviews and lost hope, then it arrived! while I understand every pro and con must be discussed, I feel like the few cons (stock camera app, no ARcore being the mains) were blown way out of proportion.

I'm so glad you are loving your Essential Phone! Plus with the availability of camera apps from the Google Play Store, the Essential's camera is definitely easier to handle. Plus I heard that its camera got quite a few updates. I am with Rogers in Canada! I believe Bell was selling the Essential Phone. I was considering buying it outright from Bell and locking it to Rogers but the phone's bands didn't work well with my carrier.

Oh I'm not familiar with Canadian carriers. I bought mine straight out off of Amazon. Never locked it to Verizon just used popped in the sim.

Last week I retired my Essential, it's now just for playing.

Please tell me, what is the name of this set of icons on your desktop? Do I need to install a third-party Nova launcher or will it work on a standard Samsung?

Which post are you referring to?

Mine if a black background with a weather widget and 23 icons. I use Nova as my launcher. I've never seen a need to make the screen harder to use with a picture for the background.

I like that thread cause I got some non mainstream phone no one wants to look at lol. But here I can show off:p

Yea I like them most cause they make all icons unified design they force that glossy bubble design on all icons and if it is about that little colored sampled down original icon, I think it's just fine (and you could just use some generic icons of similar apps that come in pure glossy full shine).. Most other free icon packs mostly have some apps you're using missing..

Trying to get the best out of xiaomi stock.

Inspired by this I now also use 7 null icons with Nova. Only thing that brothers me is that I have put some widgets and shortcuts in a map/folder, and these don't adapt. Any idea if this can be changed?

I can't see your attachment. You can change individually your folder icons, this is what I do. All icons on my home screen, but the phone/dialer, are folders with a Nova swipe up action assigned.

The folders with apps look o.k., but folders with shortcuts or widgets keep the colors of the items in tem. I'll try posting the image again.

Now I can see your screenshot. I would change the folder icon for a generic one, you are going to remember what's inside anyway.

I like how clean Niagra is. It was even more minimalist before they allowed widgets. It's in the vein of the Nokia Z launcher, so that's why I use it.

Let us know if you have any problem changing those icons individually.

I never apply a whole icon pack and now I'm actually using three different packs at the same time. One for the home screen icons, another one for the icons inside the folders and stock for the drawer. :)

You could the remaining change by hand. Beauty of Nova. Long click icon and click on the displayed thumbnail of the icon of that app to change it

You don't need root or PC. It's a normal icon and you can apply it using the same steps I mentioned before.

That's the way it works. If you change a folder icon individually it won't show the shortcuts inside, that's normal.

There you can import that blank 7null icon to Nova. That way the preview works.


Therefore would be nice if you could link me on how to extract that icon if possible without root
