Is it theoretically possible that this could be updated (or games programmed) to allow me to play Android Games on my TV?

I know this defeats the whole "chromecast does the streaming" as the game would have to be rendered on the device and beamed to the TV, but I just wondered if anything like this would be possible?

    Cheers

According to this interview chromecast is the lightweight streamer, google tv is designed for a fuller experience:

Where Google TV can provide an immersive experience thats appropriate for gaming, Chromecast will have too much latency for gaming, Pichai explained.
