    I agree, except for Netflix not currently supporting Linux. This is changing soon, but not soon enough for me!

    Scott the solution to that is to run Netflix in a VM can cast from there. Make sure the VM isn't using a nat connection so it can see the other devices on the network. Remember casting from Netflix to Chromecast is a direct connection to the device so being on a VM should have no impact on the performance. I have tried this out of curiosity on my iMac and was successful.

    That's a great idea. I was trying to get Chrome to install using wine, but since I use the Linux version it wouldn't install.
