YouTube won't play (netflix fine)

I'm in the UK and picked up a chromecast whilst on holiday in the US. Set up went fine with android aop on my GS3. Netflix will play fine with no issues. I cant however play a single youtube clip. I've tried 2 samsung phones an iphone and my laptop. The youtube logo shows on the screen then the title of the clip but the screen stays black. I get a message on my phone after a bit saying its taking an unusually long time to play and then it times out. Driving me nuts. Any advice?

I believe the problem is with the crappy service you get from You Tube...I am in the USA, and getting a 40mpbs signal (measured) and ALL my streaming from every source works fine but You Tube. With You Tube I get constant 'buffering' and freezing on Chromecast and on my Toshiba Blue Ray player sourced signal. Bottom line, You Tube is a crappy service compared to about anyone else.

My videos don't even buffer! They don't even start to play. On with chromecast support will let you know what happens.
