Cannot relink smart devices

Added new meross garage door smart controller but could not get it to be recognized by HOME.
I uninstalled/reinstalled Meross
Cleared cache and memory for Meross app.
cleared cache for Home app on Pixel 3 XL
uninstalled/reinstalled Home app.
unlinked the Meross app from Assistant/home

Now cannot relink.
of the above again, but when I try to relink or ADD existing device within Assistant or Home apps it lets me pick Meross, then goes out to sign in to the Meross account and authorize it for Google Home, flashes like it works, but goes back to main screen within Home and has not added the Meross or any of the individual items within Meross.

Seems to be a know problem for over a year within Google for relink Nest/Meross/SmartLife etc. Anybody here have an answer?

Nobody? This is a known problem that Google just doesn't answer.
