SMS Status Pending in Thread

I'm using this wonderful, wonderful phone on AT&T. Got it yesterday and have had no problems. I live in the middle of rural Appalachia, so 3G is non-existent and not an issue for me. EDGE is decent and WiFi is around most of the time.

This morning I noticed, next to sent SMSs, an icon of an envelope with "i" on it. I press it and it bring up a menu, including "view report." I view the report and it says the message status is "pending." I know the message was sent, however.

Anyone know the reason for this?

I saw this on my Moto Droid when I first got it. Never had it happen with my Nexus One. (On AT&T as well.)

Have you reset the phone?

I've done a battery pull a couple of times, but it didn't resolve it. Doesn't seem to be any problem at all with message delivery though.

Yeah, I don't know what to tell you. Give it time and it may go away on it's own. I think that's what it did on my Droid.

Its SMS delivery report. Doesnt work with AT&T. Go to SMS settings and turn it off.

That would explain why I never saw that on my Nexus One...
