Does proxy server work on the Nexus 10?

Here's a weird one.

I have a nexus 7 and a nexus 10. Both running Android 4.2.2. Also a Samsung galaxy S3.

When I am at work, I can connect to the internet through a proxy server. No issues with Android - it just works for the Nexus 7 and the S3. But not from my Nexus 10. I have put the proxy address in serveral times but it will not connect to the internet or Play. All 3 use the same wireless hub - all 3 are on the same IP subnet.

Has anyone else come across this? Is there something I have missed off?

At work,I'm using proxy droid without any issue on my rooted Nexus 10 (4.2.2)

I'm using the inbuilt service (long press on the wireless connection and enter the extra parameters).

Will Proxy Droid work on non-rooted devices?

For some reason, it has started working today. I have no idea why.
