Nexus Media Importer - selecting multiple files

I have a question about selecting multiple files in Nexus Media Importer (version 6.0) on a Nexus 10. When transferring photos to the Nexus from an camera SD card for example, I would often like to be able to select tens or hundreds of files at once. I can tap on each one to select it, but obviously this is very time consuming. Is there a way to bracket a range of files, as you would do in Windows by selecting the first file then holding down the Shift key while selecting the last file in the range?
