I'm having some issues with my Nexus 10 and thought about doing a factory reset and re-installing my apps from the Google Store. I've found the location of "My Apps" in Google Play, but it lists all the apps I've ever installed, even if I've deleted them again. Is there some play in Google Play that will show which apps I currently have installed? Alternatively, is there some way in Google Play I can tell them to "forget" an app I installed and then uninstalled?

There used to be the ability to see (and uninstall) all of the apps on a given device. That seems to have been removed from the recent Play Store update, or at least I can't find it.

Edit: I'm talking about the Web store, and it's definitely a bummer that they removed the feature.

For the first part of your question, I don't have an answer. Someone did tell me once that you can find them on the web interface. I cannot for the life of me find a way to do that. As far as forgetting the ones you have that you don't use this is simpler. On your mobile device, go to the Play Store/My Apps. There will either be an overflow button or an X on the right hand side of the app to remove it from the "My Apps" section. This doesn't seem possible on the web either from what I can see.

What a horrible thing to remove. Sometimes I don't understand why Google makes these moves.

On the device you can press menu, and then my apps. That lists every app you have installed, that is uninstallable. It also is a good way to see which apps have updates.

Yes, I thought I remembered someone mentioning how you could remove from your Play listing apps which you no longer cared about. It is a stupid change. Now it just lists every app I've ever had on the device.

I think a lot of us are disappointed in the new Play Store. Can no longer sort reviews either. What a shame that they took features away that people use.

I miss sorting of reviews. I used to look at the 1 star rating to see if people said it sucked, or if for some reason there was 100 S4 users who didn't have any luck with the app (which as a Nexus 10 user didn't matter).

Seems Google is no longer helping with this. I use an app called "app backup and restore". This will prompt you when an app is added and keep a backup of all the apps on a device. For a reset just copy the app backup and restore directory to a pc before reset. After reset install the app again and copy the directory back from the pc. The restore process is not completely automatic but it is fast and you get all the apps that are current. you can choose to not put a particular app back.

Thanks, this sounds pretty useful. I probably can work around the lack of the app data not being backed up. I'll give it a look.

Sorry for the double post but I want to let you know that I did install "app backup and restore" and it works as you described. Appreciate the help.

Also, as a warning for those with a Nexus 10 and Windows 7, I had also tried to install and use "Helium", formerly know as "Carbon" as a backup. The instructions for Windows users who are using Helium to back up a Nexus 10 include updating the USB drivers on Window. I followed their steps as closely as I could, but what it did instead was not only to still not allow my Nexus 10 talk to my computer, it also removed the ability for the Nexus to be treated as a removable drive. Thankfully good old Windows (I'm a Windows user since back in the 3.1 days) gives me the option to just do a System Restore and undo the damage. Fair warning to those who might be trying to use Helium for their non-rooted device.

    Again, thanks for the help!
