Sorry duplicate

I find the Flash can either be your best friend or worst enemy. But in large spaces when it's dark, it rocks. I'm starting to take some much better pics.

Have you tried holding the photo button down when using flash to let it focus before letting go? Seems to make a difference between that and if you just press the photo button and let go immidiately instead of holding it.

Yes I've been doing that too and it definitely makes it much better.

How is everyone finding the focus? I took around 6 pics all from a similar spot one after the other and the focus was all over the place. Still think my SGS2 was better. Plus when taking panoramic or Photosphere pics they are very blurry for the most part.

Definitely not having the photosphere or panorama issues on mine.

When comparing shots to my GNex it's a toss up as to which phone will produce better results. I'm going to try the camera application Jerry said he likes for his Nexus 4 called Shot Control.

Right now I use stock or Vignette mostly. I tried camera zoom for but I just can't seem to get into it.

60% of the time it works every time!

Here's a pic I took over the holidays, it was in a completely dark room other than the tree lights. Not too shabby for a phone camera :D

I came from a SGS2 and the camera was incredible. I know the GNex was not great. That could be why you are getting better results. It's not horrible, just average IMO.

How many photos did you have to take to get that? I did the same thing and it took me 5 tries before I got one that was good.

first attempt to take photos for etsy, better than my canon, easy to edit on the phone. (I make jewelry out of old things, in this case some antique dyed lace and old buttons)

Wife and I both have the hobby of making jewelery. Can't really see the buttons very well in that picture but I like the idea.
