I'm getting 18-20mbps in downtown Palo Alto, CA on my N4. I'm amazed! I'll have to try it in different places -- T-Mobile is quite spotty in my local area, but I never had speeds like this on my Galaxy Nexus. Best I ever saw was 6mbps.

All the bellyaching about LTE turned out to be nothing.

I ran side by side tests, VZW LTE Galaxy Nexus versus HSPA+ T-Mobile Nexus 4. The download speed was actually intangibly better on HSPA+. This was in Rockville, MD just outside of Washington DC.

Like everyone else coming from Verizon LTE, I'm worried about data speeds, but these results are very encouraging. I'm in a T-Mo HSPA+ city and I'm actually looking forward to eliminating those annoying 3G/LTE handoffs. My Verizon GNex has been getting worse and worse dealing with them lately.

And it might just be me, but Verizon's LTE network isn't quite as fast as it was a year ago. LTE is not the panacea people think it is. Having both CDMA and LTE radios in a phone is problematic for battery life. And from what I understand, the antenna and radios in the N4 are better than typical GSM phones.

I just tested my network out of curiousity.

My 3g Average Speeds Were: 0.51 Mbps Down / 0.32 Mbps Up (Avg From 4 Results)
My 4g Average Speeds Were : 1.68 Mbps Down / 0.46 Mbps Up (Avg From 10 Results)

The highest 4g speed I recorded out of 10 tests was 3.6 Mbps
I had 3 bars for most of the tests.

So needless to say, I am not at all concerned about data speeds. Because I know that what I get on the Nexus 4 can't be any worse, if anything I'll get better speeds than I do on Sprint.
PS: This is in Miami if that matters.

Too many people congesting the network, huge smartphone adoption, no place to put towers, tons of tall buildings blocking signal... Recipe for crappy speeds, no matter the carrier.

Guess I can contribute too. I'm an hour north of Atlanta and I have pretty good coverage, according to T-Mobile coverage maps, wherever I go except where I work.

Too lazy to post a screenshot.

Los Angeles 90024 (Westwood). Signal around -90dBm (4 bars), average of 3 tests run around 6pm PST today is 16Mbps down and 2.8Mbps up. Hell yes!

My Exhibit II, which is supposedly an HSPA+ device as well got an average of 3.5Mbps down and 2.5Mbps up. Same SIM, exact same spot.

I can't get the speed test so to work on my nexus using straight talk at t Sim

Try removing the proxy address and the proxy port. I did that for the ST AT&T Sim. Speeds are better, and I can run speed tests.

I'm in New Orleans which is listed as a HSPA+ 42 city. Just got my N4 today. Here are my results from inside my house. Way better than what I was getting with Sprint with my S2.

Where at in New Orleans? I live on the Northshore and have been considering getting T-Mobile.

Can't wait till N4 is back in stock, my dad is ordering two: One for my sister and one for I and I can't wait to get off of Sprint's/Virgin Mobile's ty speed where I get 42kbps down and 230kbps up with 4 bars of 3G speed.
Man, 15+Mbps is what I'm expecting in Brooklyn/Manhattan, NY and with a phone as awesome as a Nexus 4....
