Date/Time : 11/13/2012 - 8:34 AM PST.
Confirmation : 11/13/2012 - 9:38 AM PST.
Bank charges : Pending till 11/17/2012. Then dropped.
Ordered Items : Nexus 4 16GB
Back order email : 11/15/2012
Shipping status : B/O

It seems like there is absolutely no method in the order that they are filling orders. Many people who ordered in the afternoon are reporting tracking info and tons of people who ordered in the first few minutes are waiting on back order. It seems Google has set out to purposely punish their most loyal fans, who stayed up for a midnight PST release only to get a few hours of sleep so they could wake up early and try again. You finally succeed after a painstaking battle with server failures, essentially completely randomizing who was successful in ordering the device, no semblance of first come first serve. Than after all of that. A second layer of complete randomization in the back order and shipping process. How are they deciding who is getting their phones!?

Same situation here (afternoon orderer, BO email, 1x16gb no bumper)..

But got a nice response from them last night:

"I apologize for the delay in shipping your order. I just reviewed your order number and your device is still in a backorder state.

Please keep in mind we are working diligently and doing our absolute best to ship our these devices as soon as we can. I know this may not be the answer you wish to hear, but please bare with us and you'll get your phone soon!"

Sounds good to me, no longer see the word 'weeks' in there

Same happened with my order also...... might be they are working on to correct their play store........... as they also added Cancel link now.........

My status just made the same change. Anyone know what it means? Perhaps others saw this happen before it shipped?

My status has also changed to "pending" in the last hour. In addition where there was the Help link I now also have a Cancel link below it. Not sure what this means good or bad at this point. Google Wallet remains unchanged at this point.
