^ THIS is the kind of info we needed. If we had gotten this on Friday ("Sorry guys! It seems you were all sent shipping notices too early. -Google"), we would have been only a bit upset and we would have moved on. And knowing this, I can stop checking for UPS every two seconds ("Was that a truck? I KNOW I heard a truck.. My dogs moved. They must've heard something. Etc. etc.")
Now that's a good question... if Google doesn't even know where the phone is (order status says charged AND shipped on 11/30 for me), when does the 15 day return policy start?

Its ok. I would suggest reading a few posts before replying with the claim of everyone whining. Only about 65 of them are people stating they got emails containing shipping notices. We forgive you and thanks for the kind words.I wasn't aware of people getting emails. Even though it's well within their 2 week estimate, the shipping email is definitely misleading and I could see why people are upset. I'm not trying to "troll" anyone, I just feel despite all the ways Google mishandled this product launch they still get a lot of flack for stuff that's not their fault, and I didn't want people to get worked up over a non-issue. Hope everyone gets their phones soon

Unless someone's got one of them really old non-color screen cell pones...
just got off the phone with google. they said "it appears we skipped a step and don't know why we sent you that shipping email, because it did not ship. expect to hear from a 'specialist' within 2 days". i didn't even bother asking for a shipping refund, since it did not even ship. so i guess my advice to those in the same state as me (got shipping email and tracking # on the 30th) is to just ignore it.

My card was charged, but the charge has since been removed from my account. Not that big of a deal really. We should all contact the BBB (Better Buisness Bureau) And file a complaint about the cards being charged before the phone was actually shipped. This should be a MAJOR concern for Google for possibly facing legal action.

I was thinking.
I clicked on 'link this device with your google account' option when checking out. I'm wondering if this maybe delaying my and other people's orders? Someone has to go and link my phone id with my google id.
