Can anyone help me ? I have downloded an app Rings Extend suggested to help but can't see how it works.

I have downloaded the track I require and it shows on my Google Play but when I try to add it via the app this is what happens..

settings - sound- ringtone- select Rings Extended - select choose music track...........now heres the problem ..I am given 3 options

Facebook pop
notifications Facebook

Hangout
Unknown album

Join Hangout
Notifications Unknown Artist

What are these and what do I do ?

Apparently I should also see the traack I have downloded but I dont.

I'm a newbie and ringPod worked well for me. It does seem like notifications or ringtones need to be in the appropriately named folders.

Excuse me, is this the 21st century? Why on earth isn't android capable of using an mp3, by simply selecting it? Why is there a necessity of downloading an app... find the folder. crop my fav song and then only you can use it?! As a former iphone user, this bugs me about android! Sorry for the typos, english is not my first language....

Connect to PC of whatever type, find Ringtone (or notifications or alarms if required) folder
copy file into it.
Return to phone and select

Easy peasy, must be if I did it
