Is it possible to stop using android emoticons in text messages? Personally, I don't like them.

For example;
Typing '<3' turns into

Only if you use a different SMS program like Go SMS Pro

Not sure if there's a way to disable this but I guess a possible workaround to this would be to put a space between < and 3 or : and )

Oh, that's true. I have to do that in MSN, thanks to their silly default emoticons...

It might look slightly off, but it's better than nothing. I doubt my contacts see the android emoticon because they have different phones, so it's really just a personal pet peeve. D;
