headphones won't plug in ask all the way

I've found that the headphone jack on my nexus 4bis very poorly designed, no headphones I have can be plugged in all the way because of how the jack is at an angle and it gets blocked by the edge of the phone
This resulting in sound only coming from one hear and not both. Is this a common issue here?

It's a really tight jack that requires a pretty hard push to get it all the way in.
