I did a quick search and see plenty of battery drain threads, but they are all related to apps, or calls, or stuff while the unit is in operation.,
I picked up a Note 2 a while back and am keeping my Nexus 4 as a back up device. So every few weeks i power it on, update apps and make sure things are syncing properly.
Then i power it back off and put it in my laptop bag. I am seeing a pretty significant amount of battery drain while the unit is powered off. So much so that in a few weeks i will loose 25-50% battery life.
The unit is powered completely off. Ive done this for years with other devices. I upgrade to what ever new device is out, and the older one will be a back up. I use the same routine and notice battery drain to be very minimal with other devices.
Can anybody else, perhaps someone like me who is keeping their Nexus 4 as a back up device, verify if they experiencing battery drain with the unit left off for a while. (more then a week preferably)
Stock, rooted, 4.2.1
