Can i get permanent H instead of 3g/H (T-Mobile)

Is there a way to keep the phone H instead of it toggling back and forth from 3g to H on T-Mobile?

Not to the best of my knowledge. One of the reasons that devices will idle on 3G and kick up to HSPA+ only when a data session is active is to reduce battery draw, but it shouldn't be significantly disruptive to data usage.
