    Hi,

Is there any free alternative to the Swift Key app?

From what i see, every time i type a text message, I have to do too many "undo" auto-correct after the swype entry.

I do want auto-correct for proper words. But I want it to learn new words as well. For now, it only recognizes english words & names of contacts.

e.g. i dont want the swype entry "manu" to be corrected as "Many". i want it to learn the new word "manu".

Is there any way to make Text typing / gmail on nexus learn new words?

    Thanks
    A Nexus Noob

I had swype on my last smart phone and I think it worked better than Swift Key. I haven't changed it yet, but probably will. https://forums.androidcentral.com/e?...token=t0bwMNVt

    The stock keyboard?

Seriously, I tried both SwiftKey and Swype for a while and fail to see where they offer anything over the stock keyboard. In fact, I think the stock keyboard is slightly better.

Well I got fed up using the stock keyboard on the N4, because it seemed like every fourth word was misspelled no matter how careful I was. I downloaded Swype which I had used before on my Samsung phone, and no more errors as I type. I'm keeping Swype.

The word prediction on SwiftKey is beyond comparison IMHO... I just reset my phone today and missed it immediately upon using stock version... But I like the stock feel better... Looks like life is always about compromise! :-)
