No WIFI indicator

Hey all,

I have a new nexus 4 with 4.3 and the WIFI indicator is not working. WIFI is on, but I don't even have a greyed out indicator. I made sure WIFI is on and tuggled it off and on again, and also shut down the phone and restarted the device.

This is my first day with the Nexus 4, any help would be appreciated.

You may want to try a factory reset and see if that restores it.

Nope, didn't fix it.

I can see now that the wifi is turning it self off and on.

Are you running stock? Rooted or not?

If not, I might consider a return on that device.

To be honest, im not sure how to check to see if its rooted/stock.

4.3 is available to download, but its wifi only.

I am gonna run back to the store and see what they say.

Oh you would know. Rooting takes a little effort and unless you have a bad case of amnesia you'd remember it.
