Trying to get to wifi but going crazy!

I'm trying to connect to my hotel's open wifi but the status keeps switching back and forth between "obtaining IP address", "connected", and "saved" like crazy. I can connect to other networks, and other people can connect to the one that I can't. Anybody ever have this problem?

unfortunately with something like that its probably on the end of the hotel and not much you can do with your handset to fix it.
Probably a reboot of the router is needed.
But you can try to tell your device to forget the network and set it up as new and see if that helps.

Unfortunately I couldn't get it to work. What I did instead was to turn my macbook pro into a hotspot and I just connected my phone through that and it works really well.

toggle "airplane mode" on and off and then try to connect.
