Hi everyone,

Currently I'm running a ROOTED Nexus 4 with CM 10.1.3 which is Android 4.2. I've never had a rooted phone before a big update to Android like the coming one, Android 4.4, so I have no knowledge of how the upgrade works. How would I upgrade? Would I have to go to stock android using my NANDROID backup and then download and install the update, or can I just upgrade directly to Stock Android 4.4 from CM 10.1.3?
If I do have to go back to stock android first, will it matter if my device is rooted when I begin the upgrade? Is it recommended to go back to stock using a previous NANDROID backup or restoring factory images? Can my device be bricked by upgrading a rooted phone? Will I lose root? Sorry, this is a first time for me and I have no clue what to do. I want my phone to be ready for the update before Google begins sending the update to Nexus 4s. I looked online and found no relevant information pertaining to this. Thanks.
