Thanks, this phone was on wet ground for more than 4 months. Picked it up dried it for a couple of weeks, recharged and voila!!!!! It powered up but water was was noticeable on the LCD screen. Every week or so powered it up to check the display, it turned ON okay. Even with the battery disconnected, with wall charger connected, the LED is solid. Last time when I turned it off it never turned on again. Any ideas what could be causing this?

I can speculate, but anything I'd say would be a guess. Getting a phone that isn't built to be water resistant wet is never good, but if it seems to be working alright I wouldn't be too concerned. The LED should remain off unless it's activated by a notification, so the optimistic view is that something finally dried off. Or perhaps it just burned out, who knows.

Did you lose it in the snow or something? :p

Yes, it was. It survived the -30 temperature. I did not expect to turn it on at all.
Thx for the reply.
