Trying to post a photo and it's saying it needs resizing. How are you guys doing this to ensure optimal image quality?

Hi my pictures won't send ever since I updated to the latest ios on my phone. It's a nexus 5 and its starting to really upset me. No one can see my photos. When I send them they say sent but on the receivers end it either says 'message deleted' or they can't open it. If this is because of the update I will switch to apple cus I'm really upset with the amount of stress this phone causes me with every update. It updated hangouts and now it won't send pictures or nothing! Please if someone can do something do it cus I'm tired of all this trouble :/ I just want my phone to work!!!
