My wife already broke her screen, Google couldn’t do anything, she had to send it to LG.

Yeah, the N5 is manufactured by LG; LG handles service claims.

The problem is a design defect.

Well, there's really nowhere to "walk" into.

I've heard that Google will express replace devices, depending on the issue.

What's the "design defect" with your device?

If the phone just arrived and it's defective, you can return it and get a replacement. Call the Google customer service number. Once the return period expires, you'll need to deal with LG directly for a warranty repair.

Design defect? So it affects all N5's? Anyways, you may be able to RMA it with Google.
