Google Nexus 5 - launch by default malfunction

No matter how many times I've selected always when prompted, the system seems can't store up my preference and under apps seeing the button is greyed out and it happens to my nexus7 after upgrading to kit kat either.

Anyones having the issue? Please help

Looks like you aren't the only one. I saw on another site that a number of people were running into the same thing. I have been fine so far but i don't use the always setting alot, only phone and youtube links.
