I wonder why they make only factory [wipe it clean] images and don't also post update packages? I always wait for the OTA, but just curious...

Some people like to start fresh every time to ensure a clean install. To each their own I guess...

Nothing here either. I won't sideload as I am afraid of bricking. I waited long enough already.

Nope! I don't think anyone does the first 24 hrs after binaries and stuff are released. Give it anther 24-48 before we start seeing "got it in 'insert geographic location here' posts"

OMG, why are you telling people to do that!!!!! You KNOW it doesn't really DO anything!

Agreed, your phone automatically checks for updates. It will let you know when it's available. People act like this update is the second coming of Christ. It only fixes small things that most people wouldn't notice anyway. Imagine the craziness when Android 4.5/5.0 is "due" to come out. People act like it will change their lives. Nope, you'll only be left wanting for the next update....... it never ends, instead of just enjoying your device.

But then again, it's supposed to fix the camera daemon bug that affected some Nexus 5's, causing significant battery drain, isn't it? So it may be very important for some people.

I "think" they could do it for the stock android users, but for unwashed masses, it may be more difficult because of carrier cruft, esoteric hardware, etc.....
