My S3 recently died on me and decided to go with the N5. Pretty happy so far with one exception: Cannot control Pandora track advance using the volume rocker while the screen is locked.
I was running liquidsmooth on the S3 and it came bundled with this feature. It ran like a champ for so long, I forgot the reason why I kept that laptop running windoze. Then I had the sad realization the other day... "aw crap! I can't root this nexus without Odin. Odin doesn't run on Mint! Aw CRAP!"
Seems a pretty miniscule reason to root and ROM- I've tried 3 apps from the play store which are supposed to do this but none worked.
Does anyone know of a way to get this going without a new ROM? Thinking tasker but I haven't had much luck getting it to work.
