Got an update to the camera yesterday and then this happened.

I don't even remember taking a photo! Seriously Google this is a completely stock nexus device and yet there are still massive bugs like this!

Wow, that's not good at all!
Did you restart the device to see if that helped?

Yeah a restart fixed it, but that is hardly the point. I was just sitting here surfing the net and that happened.

    Stupid question but I assume you're running 4.4.4 (KTU84P)?

4.4.4 KTU84Q. Being in Australia I believe we had a slightly different baseband update.

    Apparently rebooting didn't help.

Phone slowed way down. Uninstalled Google camera, hopefully that helps.

Edit: Google just auto updated the camera again. What else should I try?

How about a cache partition wipe? http://forums.androidcentral.com/nex...-recovery.html

Remember that it can take upwards of 10 minutes for the N5 to do this, so be patient.

Cool will give it a try. Thinking of rooting as well, thanks for the link.

Not sure that's relevant to this particular software issue.

I know a lot of the mm-qcamera-daemon issues were blamed on Skype when people were running 4.4.2. Obviously I thought they'd resolved this but do you have Skype installed?
