Okay, so my USB port still charges the devices, but the data connection pins appear to not be working.
Reason for Thoery: I tried multiple ports, 3 usb cables, and they all work fine with my Cracked-screen Nexus 4. My computer can detect the Nexus 4 fine, and not the Nexus 5. Even in device Manager, I can't see anything that could be the Nexus 5.
I found this out when I came to upgrade to the newer L preview.
Now, the bootloader on my phone is unlocked, but I don't believe my phone is rooted anymore (It used to be, but then I got an OTA, and then also flashed L preview, which I believe removes the root)... Is there anyway I can install the new, (hopefully) more stable beta without a USB connection?
Thanks,
Nima
