How do I find out what year my nexus 5 was built in?

It is on the box, the white sticker should have it just to the right of the SKU. It's S/N.

Does the sticker look like this?

If so, the number would correspond to the one in S/N: 311KPJP414316 in the photo.

In S/N: 311KPJP414316 the first number 3 means 2013 and the next two numbers 11 mean November.

Their is no way that's a nexus serial number?

Are you looking on the box or ur phone for serial number? Because they don't match it goes by the serial number written on ur phone box

Its from my phone, on the screen with my imie number and such. That is what is in the serial number spot.
