screen lock without pressing button

I have a nexus 5 and can anyone suggest me how should I lock my screen (and unlock also only if possible), without having to press the power button?

I have this app installed only actually. I was hoping to get a better app if possible.

:) Me too. Please, report back if you find any. I've been looking for an app where you can select lock or just off, keeping my smart lock settings. It seems that splitting that action isn't possible after lollipop.

Change your kernel to something that support double tab to wake up :))

Use gestures with something like Nova Launcher

Yep. I use a Nova gesture for Screen off & lock, but I haven't found a way to just "screen off" without "lock" :)

Javier, you can turn off the lock screen somehow (I got rid of mine long ago). Then when you use screen off it just shuts off the screen without the lock.

Hi mrsmumbles, it's been a long time! :)

That's not exactly what I'm looking for. I want to keep the lock screen. It's safe and I really like the way that lollipop manages it. I have a couple of smart lock options enabled that work great and don't want to lose.

I just want to set a gesture that copies the Power button action.

Oh OK. I guess I understand. :)
