Hello all,

I have a Nexus 5 (LG model).

Woke up this morning and my battery was at 5% (I hadn't charged it during the night). So my phone dies as I'm using it, then I plug the charger in (different charger than I normally use) and power the phone back on.

I get a screen saying (this is coming from my memory so may not be exact): "Android is updating..." and underneath that it says "Optimizing application # of #" and it's chugging along. Then it goes black after getting about halfway through (e.g. 47 of 88 applications). So I power on again. This time, the "of # applications" is different-- "# of 126 applications" instead of "# of 88 applications". It gets about halfway through and the same thing happens again-- phone goes black. But this time, the LED near the bottom of the screen (just above the charging port) is flashing red when I have the charger plugged in.

Not sure what is going on and how to troubleshoot this. What do I do?

Please help! And thanks in advance!

Nick

It sounds like the battery was so drained that the charger can't keep up. I'd suggest leaving it turned off and on the charger for several hours before trying again.
