Camera app keeps on crashing

Can you give us more details? When does it crash -- right when you first open it, or after you've been using it for a while? Do you get an error message? Does it happen in Safe Mode? Are you rooted?

No the phone is not rooted . It happens randomly when I open the camera app and crashes with a message saying "can't connect to the camera ".

Try it in Safe Mode. If it never happens in Safe Mode, then something you installed is interfering. I would focus on any app that has Camera permission -- especially apps that control the LED flash (like flashlight apps).

Had no flash apps installed . Formatted it to factory settings. Still the same problem . The service centre guy says it's a software issue . And google is not addressing it either .
