Nexus 5 stuck in a bootloop

I can turn the Nexus 5 on, the word "Google" comes up then disappears and will keep on repeating that process.

I can get to the Recovery mode screen but only for 1 second and it turns off.

Is it totally gone or can I do anything if I connect it to a PC ?

It's probably one of the known problems with this phone - the power button. It gets stuck.
You have a few options - replace it or press the phone very hard with its power button on a hard surface (i've come to the point when i actually have to bang it). Beware if banging/pressing hard, may cause other deficiencies.
