Hi. I don't know about the technologies in question, but I see (on both Google and Motorola's sites) that the Nexus 6 'only' has 802.11ac 2x2 (MIMO). What about B/G/N... are these part of the before-mentioned protocol, or will we get a lot of wifi-connection issues...?

In order to be certified, wifi always has to be backwards compatible, meaning it works with all versions that came before it. 802.11ac is the newest version so it will work with all versions that came before it which are a, b, g, and n.
The next version will be 802.11ad and it will work with all of those versions plus ac.
Normally you will only see the latest version listed but it will work with all the versions that came before it with no issues.

They have the full list on the purchase page in the play store (Still can't actually buy yet though)

    Requirements
Wi-Fi use requires 802.11 b/g/n/ac access point (router).
Syncing services (such as backup) require a Google account.

That's not really measuring your wifi, hopefully. That's measuring your modem. The actual wifi should be significantly faster than that.
