how did you purchase it? check with your credit card company. they might have some kind of accidental protection for the first 90 days.

o, that sucks. I doubt they have that. well. I know with the moto x, they did do free replacement for ppl who break their screen. my sister in law got a free replacement from them. Google did something similar with the nexus 5, I got a replacement for my broken screen also. you should try talk to them and see what happens. doesn't hurt.

I saw online that Motorola was offering insurance on the Nexus if it's bought through them. Hopefully you can take advantage of that.

Dropped mine off my kitchen counter onto the hard tile! Lucky for me I did have a case on it... it landed on the back/case side and at an angle vs a straight down drop and slide across the floor instead on a direct impact... no damage but heart skipped a beat...

Option 1: $175 to have it replaced with a "like new" device in an unknown amount of time.

Option 2: $250 deposit, plus $175 for a "like new" device within 4-5 business days. Deposit to be returned upon receipt of damaged goods.

I ordered one through GPS and was curious what options I had for some type of warranty. Sorry if this is a stupid question but its the first time I've bought one from a place other than a carrier.

Definitely go with 2. Not bad considering these are so hard to order in general right now.

U know...most of us here have more than one pretty expensive device and this can happen anytime...fluke accidents happen. Sucks so soon...

Option 2 if you don't have back up phone, otherwise go with option 1.
