Help! Not getting Google Now notifications for leaving...

I just got a Nexus 6, pretty happy with it overall but the one thing I can't get to work is the google now notifications that tell me when to leave for an appointment. I enter a date in google cal, including an address, but I only get the standard notification nothing that is related to traffic/transit/etc...

Please help, I'm pretty excited about this phone but am annoyed I haven't figured this thing out!

Yes. Everything is on and running.

What I noticed with Google now is that it kinda learns your behavior over time and then it starts suggesting stuff to you.

Plus make sure you input your home and work addresses into Google now. Make sure you go into Google now settings and see if all the cards u want to see are activated.
