Got a Chromecast yesterday for $29 at best buy, downloaded some movies from [redacted], everything plays on my TV perfect. However, all notifications come through while I'm watching a movie, text and all pop up at the top of the movie.... Annoying, anyway to turn that off when viewing?

    It is annoying.
The only way I have found is to disable the notifications in the specific app.
Just don't forget to enable it later.

How do you make notifications pop up on the tv while casting? Mine has never done that but that would be sweet if I could.

Are you using the screen cast feature where it mirrors the phone? I bet if you use the chrome cast feature from inside the app like you can on play movies, Netflix, plex, ect that it wouldn't do that.

You can silence the notifications by setting the interruptions mode to priority or none. For priority, you'd have to set it up to let the ones you want through. None, will just not let any notification pop up.
