I just got my N6 two days ago. I went to the Verizon store and they were awesome and got me an activated nano-SIM and we popped it in the N6. Took a factory reset, but then everything was working!

Text, voice, and data were all good.

When I got home I proceeded to install all my apps and before they even got the first one updated I got a pop up that said:
"Google Play Services, which some of your applications rely on, is not supported by your device. Please contact the manufacture for assistance"

I did a chat with Google-- they are dumbfounded.

Any thoughts? Anyone else have similar issues?

Bought from the Google Play Store.
I have done 3 factory resets.
After all three, the message popped up soon after I start updating the existing apps on it.

What happens if you do not install any apps for awhile, do you get the error? Also does the error come up when you install the same app or different app?

Yes, the error seems to be suppressed until updates start. When we first reset the phone at the Verizon store, we did not even log into a google account. No GPS message at all for a good 20 minutes until i logged in to google and started updates.

The error comes up when it goes to update Google Play Services.
So, for example, Hangouts starts updating Then Hangouts requests GPS, and that prompts GPS to be updated. Then the error occurs. I think on one of the resets, google play games caused the chain reaction.

My GPS version is 6.5.99 xxxxxxx-430.
It looks like the service is running.
Popup only occurred once (per factory reset) and then has not came back (so far...)
Everything seems ok at this point. Gmail, Hangouts, Play, etc. all seem to work. I can install and update app from Google Play Store and everything.

I have not received a reply from Google yet. The guy said he was going to escalate the issue and get back to me.

Is this a verizon issue? Could GPS be locking out or basing compatibility with something verizon is pushing to the sim/phone?
