I've had a Nexus 6 since the beginning of end of October. I can return it no questions asked for another 2 days.

I like it, but about 4 days ago it began muting itself. No sound comes from anything I try to listen to online, and the phone goes silent when I put it into speakerphone mode. This is definitely a deal breaker.

I have not been able to find a way to turn the muting off. Sometimes the sound comes back when I turn it off and reboot, but that seems to have stopped working.

I have not loaded any apps in a couple of weeks, and have only put a couple on since buying the phone.

This problem began about the same time i began using the Bluetooth to connect, successfully, to a Bose SoundLink. However, I have the Bluetooth turned off and still no sound.

It is hard to believe there is nowhere to mute and unmute the speakers at the operating system level like there is in Linux and Windows.

    Thanks
    Mike Thomas
