Anyone know if Google plans to sell the charger by itself for those of us who want extras?

I've been reading and it seems like a lot can go wrong if you use the wrong charger or cable.

I purchased this one from Google and it seems to work just fine.

Does it charge your phone quickly like the one in the box?

I read the description and it doesn't mention fast / quick charging.

    Yes, it does.

Since Google lists it as a Nexus 6P accessory, I think it unlikely that it would not be fast-charge capable.

I have this charger and it's doesn't charge the phone nearly as fast as the one in the box. This charger sucks and I have no idea why Google or anyone sells the original charger that comes in the box.

Well, it is rated 3.0 Amps per port, 4.5 Amps total (when both ports are in use) and, from what I can see, it charges just as fast as the factory charger. Do keep in mind, with USB C, it is not just the charger but the cable as well. If you are using a damaged/cheap/crappy cable, you will not get fast charge, no matter what the output of the charger.
