Where is 7.0 for the nexus 6?

    Google still sucks at this.

This phone as well as current Samsungs most likely won't get that version until spring.
Pretty sure this is wrong. Google is always slower getting the updates out for the earlier generations. Only Nexus devices that were confirmed to not get N was the OG Nexus 5 as it doesn't support Vulcan. Give it time...

I was thinking this was for a different phone and not a Nexus. Ignore me.

Read the last little sentence. Patience. We aren't running Samsung devices. We should get it soon enough. You think this is bad? Try having a Galaxy Nexus on sprint.....

Yes yes yes... The most recent devices get it first, then the older still-supported ones. Think of the 5X and 6P users as our beta testers. Same thing happened with the 6.0 release. Nexus 5 users waited a bit. Nexus 6 users got it almost immediately. Not a huge deal. If it really is a big deal to you, join the beta program.

Huh? No one in the beta program with a Nexus 6 has gotten the 7.0 OTA, and some folks with 6Ps are saying that they also haven't received the OTA. Google spouted off 2 weeks ago about 7.0 being finished, then went silent and has yet to get around to posting a factory image for the 6P even though the OTAs for the 6P started rolling out the same day as the announcement. A little language on what's going on would be a nice thing, especially since the silence is generating some wild speculation about the N6 and the 6P being cut out of the beta program because of alleged problems with the Snapdragon 805 and 810.

Why should I have to join the beta when it's out?

Google has screwed this up every year and the excuses I hear every year get hollower and hollower.

My favorite one is "Google doesn't have the resources". XD

Then you should be used to it by now. It's not a life changing event, it's just an update we'll get very shortly.

Why do I have to get used to it?

Why should we not push for change?

You know me from the blog comments.

But the roll-out of Nougat has actually been halted for the Nexus 6P.

Chances are, the build for the Nexus 6 is gonna take a while longer.
