Questions About Flashing Ubuntu Touch From Recovery

I heard it could be done, in fact the website i read it on is right here How to: Flash Ubuntu Touch Preview On a Nexus Device Using Custom Recovery – Droid Life. My biggest concern is that if I flash from recovery I won't be able to return to TWRP later and restore my backup so that I can go back to AOKP. Just wondering what some other peoples experiences may have been. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Figured out that it does in fact work. All you have to do is go to

1 Make sure that you make a back up with your rom on the custom recovery
2 Download the http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-to...c-demo/quantal-preinstalled-armel+grouper.zip and http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-to...c-demo/quantal-preinstalled-phablet-armhf.zip and copy them to your computer, then with your nexus 7 plugged in go ahead and drag them to your nexus 7
3 reboot to recovery, again make sure that you made a back up of your current rom, go wipe the data and the cache (factory reset)
4 go to install and install both of the zips that you downloaded, after that just reboot the system and it will go straight into the ubuntu touch preview
5 if you want to go back to your old rom power down then hold the volume down and arrow keys until your tablet boots into bootloader mode, select recovery, go to restore and restore your old rom
